Peet is very diligent in making his guests feel welcome and at home in his lovely 5-bedroom bed and breakfast. The magnificent Parisian apartment is an early 1800’s Haussmann-era building. Located just outside of the tourist areas in Paris, you experience the real Paris lifestyle. Situated in the 10th arr., you can walk to the Gare du Nord Station in about three minutes. Take the metro, and you will reach Notre Dame, The Louvre, and several other tourist attractions in less than fifteen minutes.
The Large Rooms
Five large rooms are available at A Room in Paris Bed and Breakfast. Three rooms are in the central apartment, sharing two bathrooms. These rooms are also located near the breakfast area. There are two additional rooms available which have a separate entrance and private bathrooms. The large rooms have hardwood floors and eleven-foot ceilings. They contain meticulously hand-picked antiques along with marble display fireplaces giving the rooms an exclusive and distinctive feel.
Enjoy a Social Breakfast
Enjoy breakfast in the large living room and dining area with Peet and the other guests. Peet enjoys having breakfast with all his guests and finds it is an excellent time for everyone to share some of their tips and experiences from the previous day. It is also the perfect time to ask some questions about Paris. The grand room is decorated with artwork and paintings from contemporary and local artists.
The fantastic morning breakfast includes juice, tea, and coffee; an assortment of cheese, cereal, meat, and yogurt. Homemade preserves, bread, and sweets are also available. Hot items may include boiled eggs or French Toast.
One morning conversations Peet informed me “I started November 2005 the Chambres d’hôtes. There is a significant difference between an American bed and breakfast and a French Chambre d’hôte. In France, it has to be in your main house, and you’re not allowed to have more than five rooms, and breakfast is obliged”.
