Sitting in the spacious open-air breakfast area, I knew I picked a great place to stay in Tamarindo, Costa Rica. The newly designed BoHo Tamarindo boutique hotel just opened in December. The blue floors with white walls with accents of natural browns throughout makes you feel like you are in the ocean. The décor, with a large sea turtle in one corner, a massive swordfish head in another, and signs that say “Today is always the best day” and “when nothing goes right, go left” pointing the outdoor pool and rooms, you know you are in the right place.
The BoHo Boutique Hotel In Tamarindo
Some people will call it a guest house and others a boutique hotel. The choice is really up to you. With only six rooms, there is no doubt that they know all the guests by name and pay special attention to details.
The adults-only hotel is located just steps away from the busy town center of Tamarindo, it is a piece of quiet tranquility as soon as you enter through the door. You can walk to several shops and restaurants in town or you can avoid all of them and walk directly to the beach within minutes. If you want to go a little further away to discover more, you can use the bikes they have available to guests for free.
There are only 6 rooms at BoHo Tamarindo. They are stylish and elegant with the perfect sense of minimalism. The large rooms feature a king-size bed, a walk-in wardrobe area with a safe and mini-fridge. The oversized bathrooms feature rain showers and basic toiletries. The same décor of natural browns with a splash of color flows throughout the property. All the air-conditioned rooms have pool views and a private patio with a hanging and beanbag chair.
Lounge beds are located at one end of the pool if you want to relax with more space. There is also a common area with a kitchen with a microwave, a fridge, some dishes. Additionally, you can enjoy the entertainment corner with board games, books, and magazines.
A delicious homemade breakfast is also included with your stay. Fresh fruit, yogurt with granola, fresh banana bread, and waffles or scrambled eggs are served every morning.
