The Shelbourne Spa is a luxurious, tranquil retreat in the heart of Dublin, Ireland. The elegant and calming atmosphere is precisely decorated to offer relaxation and serenity. Discerning guests enjoy the thermal facilities, a swimming pool, gymnasium, dance studio, and numerous body treatments.
The Shelbourne Spa
The most extensive spa in Dublin city center is spread over three floors. The Spa at The Shelbourne is one of the most exclusive in the city. Featuring seven treatment rooms, with one designed for two people to enjoy the spa together, the atmosphere is elegant and calming. The relaxation room is a chic and well-designed space to enjoy the complimentary flavored water, tea, and mixed nuts while relaxing in the oversized lounge chairs. The spa also has designed a classy area specifically for pedicures and manicures. Additionally, guests enjoy the thermal facilities, swimming pool, gymnasium, and dance studio.
At the Shelbourne Spa, you will receive a holistic approach to body and mind therapies developed with natural products. The ‘curative wonders of the earth’ include signature treatments and rituals with products created by world-renowned brand Elemis.
A complete menu of fabulous pampering experiences for both men and women includes facials, massages, purifying body wraps, intense body scrubs, and sophisticated hand and foot care. Several packages are also available including the Gentleman’s Tonic – Face & Body, Great Expectations – Mother to Be, Signature Indulgences, and The Ultimate Day Spa Package.
The Shelbourne Spa facility added The Salon in November 2015. It offers guests a pampering facility for hair and beauty connoisseurs for both men and women. The Salon treatments include specifically designed Elemis express therapies for 30-minutes. It is the first spa in Ireland to offer this Speed Spa concept directly from the House of Elemis in Mayfair, London.
The Shelbourne Hotel
The luxurious five-star hotel opened its doors to welcome privileged guests in 1824. The majestic building, nearly 200 years old, is one of the premier hotels in Dublin’s city center. Guests enjoy complimentary Wi-Fi throughout the hotel and lavish sitting areas. The elegant rooms feature plush bedding and generously sized bathrooms with exclusive amenities. Within the hotel is award-winning restaurants that offer an array of options, from fresh seafood and tender steak to a perfect High Tea. The hotel overlooks St. Stephen’s Green, it is steps away from the famous Grafton Street and is mere minutes from several of Dublin’s most famous attractions.
The City of Dublin
Dublin has seen dramatic growth in recent years. There are countless things visitors to the city should do and see. Sports enthusiasts can enjoy tours and events at Croke Park and Aviva Stadium. You can also go rafting down the Liffey River or kayaking through the city center. Stroll along the famous Grafton Street and stop to listen and watch the many street performers. Spend an afternoon visiting the 18th century Trinity College. The Whiskey Museum, Guinness Storehouse, and Teeling Distillery all offer tours and tastings at their facilities. You must see more of the country with my three favorite day tours from Dublin – the Cliffs of Mohr, Kilkenny, and Cork and Blarney. If you are looking for excellent accommodations check out the Fitzwilliam Hotel, Merrion Hotel, or the boutique Dylan Hotel. Some outstanding restaurants in the area are the Cliff Townhouse, Hugo’s, and Brookwood. I also enjoyed dining at Bloom Brasserie, The Farm, Green 19, and Klaw Restaurants.
An Afternoon of Pampering
With so many things to do and see in Dublin, you will want to take some time for relaxation and rejuvenation. The Spa at The Shelbourne is the ideal place to get pampered and let the stresses of life melt away in their elegant and calming atmosphere.
