Teeling Irish Whiskey Distillery In Dublin, Ireland

The city of Dublin and Irish Whiskey have had a profound relationship for hundreds of years. Over 235 years of Irish Whiskey production began in the Liberties area, on Marrowbone Lane with the Teeling Irish Whiskey Distillery in Dublin Ireland. With the signature of the founder, Walter Teeling on every bottle, quality over quantity has been the family tradition since 1782. There were over 37 different legal distilleries in Dublin at that time. The city was the epicenter for Irish Whiskey production. The area became known as the ‘Golden Triangle’ and was recognized globally as the producer of Premier whiskey. Unfortunately, the whiskey trade dramatically changed due to many factors and the last of the original distillery closed in Dublin in 1976.
