The harbor shores are meters below me as I looked out over the water from my 7th-floor end suite at the riverside hotel.

History of the Radisson Blu Hotel
The Radisson Blu hotel chain requires little introduction. The popular hotel Blu brand became known in 2009, previously called Radisson SAS.
In 2010 Radisson Blu became the Largest Upscale Hotel Brand in Europe. On March 18th, 2013 Radisson Blu Riverside Hotel opened in Gothenburg, Sweden.

The Rooms At The Radisson Blu Riverside Hotel
All 265 rooms and suites at this riverview hotel are designed with a contemporary and colorful, yet cool feel to them. The attention to detail for guest comfort is flawless. Many rooms have a view of the harbor and river.
The rooms include a flat-screen TV, high-speed WI-FI, a minibar, and tea and coffee. Additionally, all rooms now offer a pillow menu.
All guests have use of the gym and the wellness center located on the 11th floor with stunning views of the city, river, and harbor. Guests can also enjoy the complimentary buffet breakfast every morning.
Standard Rooms
These rooms are approximately 22m2 and are ideal for one or two guests.
Superior Rooms
The Superior rooms are great for guests that want a little more space. They average 32m2 and come with a bathrobe and slippers.
Superior Room – High Floor
The Superior high floor rooms are a little smaller averaging 25m2 however they are all located on the 9th floor or higher. This gives guests the furthest distance from the lobby.
Superior Room – River View
Guests in these 22m2 rooms can enjoy the beautiful view of Lindholmen and the river.
Family Room
The 35m2 family rooms are ideal for three people traveling together or two adults and two children. Family rooms have a king-size bed and an additional sofa bed.
The Premium Rooms
Premium rooms are about 35m2 and offer a separate shower and bathtub. The glass wall separating the bedroom and bathroom allows for a large open space feeling while you relax.
Junior Suite With Balcony
Located on the top floor of the hotel are the only rooms with a private balcony. The 40m2 suites offer magnificent views of Gothenburg and the Göta River. These large rooms have a separate bedroom and living room and a separate shower and bathtub. Additionally, these suites contain Chromecast TV and a Marshall Speaker.
Suite With River View
At approximately 50m2 these suites are the largest in the riverside hotel. The sophisticated and chic suite offers a separate living room and bedroom area.
The bathroom has a separate toilet, shower, and large soaker bathtub all separated by frosted glass. Additionally, these suites contain Chromecast TV and a Marshall Speaker.
Facilities and Amenities
The Radisson Blu Riverside hotel contains a small, yet well-stocked gym. The fitness center contains both treadmills and elliptical machines. There are various sizes of dumbbells and benches. You also have exercise balls and mats available for use.
The wellness center is a great place to relax and enjoy some views of the city. There are two indoor relaxation pools, a sauna, and a few lounge chairs indoors.
Outside you will find a hot tub and several lounge chairs and tables to enjoy the views of the city and river below.
Cuckoo’s Nest Restaurant
All guests are invited to enjoy the complimentary buffet breakfast every morning in Cuckoo’s Nest restaurant. The scientific style and decor of the restaurant is a gesture to the creative and innovative minds that visit and occupy Lindholmen Science Park.
Enjoy lunch or dinner with some local cuisine like tjälknöl, a tender side of elk served with almond potato mousse. Alternately, choose international classics like hamburgers or fish and chips.
It is also a great place to unwind and have a drink after a long day. If you visit during the summer months, enjoy your time there on the outdoor terrace.
