Known as the smallest grand hotel in Vienna, Austria is the Hotel Kärtnerhof. It has a Wilhelminian façade with an interior of fine wallpaper blending grey and sage colors to compliment the exterior. A vast combination of Viennese Art Nouveau mingled with fine Italian materials and fused with French flare is found throughout the interior.  The interior designer, Niccolò Grassi, left reminders of a German naturalist, Alexander von Humboldt, leaving the original parquet flooring.
